New Cotton Market Launched In Hefei In 2010

Insiders said that during the national day, textile enterprises were replenishing stocks, and the auction of national cotton stores was fierce. The prices continued to rise, and the spot market prices continued to rise. "Under this influence, cotton traders and small cotton processing enterprises began to rush to buy resources, and the purchase price rose substantially."

"Seed cotton purchase price surged from 9 yuan / kg in late September to 10.5 yuan / kg, up 50% from the same period last year, and there is still a rising trend."

Reporters learned from the supply and marketing cooperative system that at present, it is the rush hour for new cotton to open and scale on the market. Farmers are generally reluctant to sell because of the rising planting costs and the rainy weather in the early part of the cotton growing areas. The acquisition business is also cautious because of the rising price of seed cotton this year and the lack of funds.

"There are also a small number of radical enterprises to ignore the quality, bid up the price of blind purchase, to bring a certain risk to the development of the market."

Cotton prices are expected to rise.

Affected by the recent rising cotton prices and the expected growth of the purchase price of new cotton, the pressure of upstream cost increase of textile enterprises has gradually been pmitted to the consumer terminals.

At the time of the season, the price of cotton fabrics rose in the wholesale markets of many cities throughout the country, mainly reflected in the warm underwear, household clothes, infant clothing, and various kinds of consumption in the autumn and winter.

The cotton trade association of Hefei province has introduced that the size of cotton planting area in Anhui and even cotton mainly affects cotton growers and cotton enterprises, and has little effect on the consumption of the people.
