9 States In The United States Are Heavily Introducing Regulations On Cadmium Content In Children'S Products.

As the public is increasingly concerned about the use of cadmium and its health hazards, 9 states in the United States have launched intensive restrictions on children.

In these States, 3 states, including Connecticut, Illinois and Minnesota, have already set up a requirement that the content of soluble cadmium in children's jewelry should not exceed 0.0075%.

California, Florida, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York and Rhode Island are currently considering similar legislation.

Cadmium is a carcinogen. According to the latest research results, cadmium, like lead, can affect the development of brain in children, especially infants. If children often suck and gnaw the children's products with high cadmium content, it will lead to cadmium inhalation.

Inspection and quarantine experts pointed out that so far, the cadmium limit has covered 1/5 states of the United States, and the US Consumer Product Safety Commission is drawing up mandatory standards.
