From half of layoffs to double exports

Wang Qiang told reporters that his clothing export enterprises had been affected by RMB exchange rate, export tax rebate rate, raw materials and labor prices, and the international financial crisis. The most difficult period was from January 2009. He worked hard to reduce the export business of the children's clothing to the EU's lowest point in the past few years, and did not export a batch for 5 consecutive months.

"During that time, the company had to cut half of its employees, and in July there were a small number of South African jackets.

Wang Qiang told reporters that from September 2009, the company gradually gained revenue, and in January 2011, when he continued to explore new export countries, he received the biggest export orders in the two years of the financial crisis, and he had barely survived. He saw the new hope of getting out of the financial crisis.

Now, his export business has increased from initial to two or three small countries to eight countries, and the garments exported have also been improved in terms of quality, grade and price in three aspects.

The number of garment export batches increased by 2.5% over the same period last year. "In the first quarter of this year, the average price of clothing exports rose by 26% over the same period last year, from $3.3292 to 4.1945 dollars / piece; the total export volume rose by nearly 70%; and the countries and regions exported to garment exporting countries expanded from 31 in the same period last year to 37 countries and regions.

This shows that the industry has gone out of the shadow of the financial crisis.

Shijiazhuang inspection and Quarantine Bureau official said.

Insiders in the province also said that the statistics of relevant departments reflected that the clothing export of Shijiazhuang city had already come out of the impact of the international financial crisis, but the textile and garment export industry of Hebei province should be further strengthened. Enterprises should change the export strategy of high volume, low price and good quality and low price that has been pursued for a long time.
