The Ideal Image Of American College Students

Perhaps there are religious bottoming, and Americans tend to have more spiritual pursuits than the pursuit of appearance.

In social occasions, ceremonial praise of a woman's skirt or hairstyle is a small trick for everyone in the United States to lubricate human relationships.

But overjudging others' appearance is a sign of ill will.

However, in a gym, flowers are everywhere like a painkiller, and a nation that sells hair dyes like salt is not worth saying.

But Americans do not always talk about their appearance.

I once taught a course of clothing social psychology. In order to let students discuss the ideal image of American college students, I encouraged them in the opening speech, "let's be shallow today, let's not talk about the ideal appearance superficially."

The students then threw aside their worries and opened their talker.

As for the ideal image of men, the answers are: white teeth, neat hair, and laughing, good ass (a student first says: nice ass, she is laughed at by this indecent answer, and spit her tongue quickly to nice butt).

Then there are detailed requirements for the two muscles, pectoral muscles and abdominal muscles, such as a six pack, which look like a bottle of beer bottle arranged neatly, and can clearly count the six abdominal muscles.

But by saying this, the students were a little bit lost in mind, and forgot that we only talked about the agreement of appearance.

A girl said quickly: good in bed (good work in bed).

In advance, she made a solemn statement with heroic spirit: I just said what everyone was thinking.

This discussion of different classes has done several times, and I have come to realize that to evaluate a person's appearance, it is absolutely impossible to completely separate physical parameters from other standards. At least it is a very difficult task.

For the ideal image of American women.

The classmates also gave examples: smooth skin, white teeth, small nose, sexy thick lips like Angelina Jolie, blond hair, light brown complexion, and thin, smart figure.

To my surprise, no one even mentioned big eyes or double eyelids.

In China, double eyelids are so important that it seems that the eyelids that are not double can not finish the task of "flashing".

The size of your eyes is also important.

If Chinese society still has a tolerance for men with small eyes, small eyes will become a curse to women.

Women are recognized as pretty little eyes. Women in China can be said to be even more rare than pandas.

In traditional Chinese aesthetics, small eyes can not contain the autumn wind, and it is hard to achieve "bright eyes and good looks".

But why do college students in the United States turn a blind eye to the size and level of such important eyes?

This question is followed by our doubts about blonde hair.

The American preference for blondes is hard to explain only with color.

The students said: the golden hair is very sexy.

I asked: if the two words in the sentence are removed, they will become "golden and sexy".

Isn't that right?

That is to say, is gold born more sexy than brown and red?

Only after this questioning, did I find that there was a string of cultural associations and extensions behind the golden hair.

When it comes to blondes, Americans don't need any hints, and Marilyn Monro smiles before them.

And Monroe, the most attractive sex girl after World War II, is armed with teeth from her teeth.

Blonde becomes more sexy because of Monroe.

Blond hair is considered beautiful, because it has something to do with young innocence.

Many American children have blonde hair in childhood.

Golden hair with powdered skin, such dolls are very popular even in China.

But with age, many people lose their blond hair, brown or dirty gold, called dirty blond.

Therefore, the golden gold is still rare, just like those young days that are easy to lose.

On the other hand, having big eyes and double eyelids, like a person with a head and ten fingers, are so common that they are naturally squeezed out of the ideal image.
