The National Bureau of Statistics yesterday released the national CPI (consumer price index) and PPI (producer price index) data in November 2019. In November, consumer prices nationwide rose by 4.5% over the same period last year, rising by 0.4%. Among them, cities rose 4.2%, rural areas rose 5.5%, food prices rose 19.1%, non food prices rose 1%, consumer goods prices rose 6.5%, and service prices rose 1.2%. 1-- - the average consumer price in November increased by 2.8% over the same period last year.

In November, the national consumer price rose by 0.4%. Among them, cities rose 0.3%, rural areas rose 0.5%, food prices rose 1.8%, non food prices were flat, consumer goods prices rose 0.8%, and service prices fell 0.4%.


  

   Year-on-year changes in prices of goods and services

In November, the price of food and alcoholic drinks increased by 13.9% over the same period last year, affecting the CPI (consumer price index) by an increase of about 4.10 percentage points. In the food industry, the price of animal meat increased by 74.5%, which affected CPI's rise by about 3.27 percentage points, of which pork prices rose by 110.2%, which affected CPI's rise by about 2.64 percentage points. Egg prices rose 10.1%, which affected CPI's rise by 0.06 percentage points; the price of fresh vegetables Rose 3.9%, which affected CPI's rise by 0.09 percentage points; the price of aquatic products increased by 2.4%, which affected the CPI's rise by about 0.04 percentage points; the increase in grain prices 0.7%, which affected CPI's rise by about a percentage point; and the decline of fresh fruit prices was affecting the decline of CPI, which affected CPI by about a percentage point.

The other seven categories of prices rose six over the same period. Other items and services, health care, education, culture and entertainment prices rose by 4.5%, 2% and 1.7% respectively, while clothing, housing, daily necessities and services prices rose by 1.1%, 0.4% and 0.4% respectively, while traffic and communications prices fell 2.8%.


  

   Changes in prices of commodities and services

In November, the price of food and alcoholic drinks increased by 1.5%, which affected CPI's rise of about 0.48 percentage points. The price of livestock and meat increased by 4.8% in food, affecting CPI by about 0.34 percentage points, of which pork prices rose by 3.8%, which affected CPI's rise by about 0.18 percentage points. The price of fresh vegetables rose by 1.4%, which affected CPI's rise by 0.03 percentage points. The price of fresh fruit dropped by 3%, which affected CPI's decline by 0.05 percentage points, and the prices of aquatic products and eggs decreased by 0.5%, which in turn affected the decline of CPI by about 0.01 percentage points.

The other seven categories of prices rose by two, flat and four respectively. Among them, clothing and medical care prices rose by 0.3% and 0.1% respectively; living prices were flat; prices of other goods and services, educational culture and entertainment decreased by 0.8% and 0.7% respectively, while traffic and communications, daily necessities and services prices fell by 0.3% and 0.1% respectively.
