Amazon To Launch Advertising Platform In Australia

On October 15, relevant media learned that Amazon, the global retail giant, is planning to launch its advertising platform in Australia recently, and has entered the internal testing stage.

The US based company is reported to be in beta testing with a group of Australians selling their products on its local platform amazon.com.au.

It is understood that beta testing is an acceptance test. Acceptance testing is a software testing activity conducted before the release of a software product after the completion of functional testing and system testing. It is the last stage of technical testing. After passing the acceptance test, the product will enter the release stage.

In recent years, Amazon has been building its own business in Australia. At the end of 2017, amazon.com.au, a local Australian website, opened a large number of logistics centers, and launched Amazon Prime last year.

Although Amazon has not made any statement at the moment, its website shows that the company is recruiting an advertising sales team.

IBISWorld analyst Alan allday said the launch of Amazon advertising will make it easier for local businesses selling through Amazon to coordinate activities, create display and video ads, and drive traffic to product pages.
