India Apparel Companies Participate In Trade Fairs To Expand Overseas Market Exports

D.G.Reddy, director general of India garment export promotion association, said that three overseas exhibitions, including the fashion week Fair held in Hongkong from July 5th to July 8th, the large fashion and Textile Fair held in Tokyo from July 21st to July 23rd, were held in Czech Republic from August 24th to August 26th in Czech Republic.
He said the association will book 85 booths at the Hongkong fair.
The India garment export promotion association subsidized 160 thousand rupees for Tokyo fairs and booked 9 square meters of booths.
According to Reddy, the Tokyo fair is Japan's largest textile and clothing trade fair.
In 2009, India clothing exported to Japan more than 189 million dollars. The Tokyo Fair will provide India garment manufacturers with a good opportunity to expand exports to Japan.
Reddy said that India has 20 booths in Czech Republic fair, with an investment of 120 thousand rupees and an exhibition area of 9 square meters.
For the India garment industry, the Czech market has great potential.
In 2008, India's clothing exports to Czech amounted to US $12 million 40 thousand.
